Who He Is | FDF
Whether we know it or not, we're all being shaped every single day. By what we watch, who we follow, the stories we believe, the habits we build, and the people we spend time with. So the real question isn't if we're following someone—it's who we're following.
This is what makes following Jesus such a radical choice. Because He doesn't want to be a weekend visitor in your life. He's not interested in just being your Sunday Savior. Jesus wants to rearrange the furniture of your heart. To sit in every chair. To be Lord, not just a guest.
In Luke 9, Jesus asks a question that still echoes today: "Who do you say I am?" Not your friends. Not your favorite influencer. Not even your pastor. You. Your answer determines everything.
Peter once saw Jesus as just a teacher. A good one, sure—but still just a man. But when his perspective shifted—when he saw Jesus as Lord—he left everything to follow Him. That's the power of a changed perspective.
Jesus is not a taker—He's a giver. And becoming a fully devoted follower (FDF) doesn't lead to a boring life—it leads to your best life. One with more freedom, joy, clarity, and purpose than you ever imagined.
So tie that thread tight. You're part of a story so much bigger than your own.
Pray With Us!
Jesus, I don't want to keep You in a corner of my life. I want You in every room, every decision, every moment. Shift my perspective. Help me see You not just as Savior, but as Lord. Teach me to walk with You, become more like You, and do what You do. Amen.
Let's Reflect:
Who or what has the most influence in shaping your daily life? What areas of your life have "Do Not Disturb" signs when it comes to Jesus? How would your life look different if you fully believed Jesus is Lord in every area?
