Who We Are | FDF

Have you ever thought about how what you believe about yourself shapes how you live? It's true! If you think you're just an ordinary, average person barely scraping by, you'll probably live like it. But if you believe you're chosen, loved, and equipped by God Himself—you'll live with a whole different level of confidence and joy!

That's why becoming a Fully Devoted Follower (an FDF!) isn't just about knowing who Jesus is—it's also about knowing who you are.

God didn't just save you so you could say you're a Christian on a survey. He called you to be a disciple—someone who orients their whole life around being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus does. It's not about being perfect; it's about leaning into who He says you already are.

You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)! You are a child of the King (Ephesians 1:5)! You are righteous, victorious, and fully loved!

But here's the deal—like a seed planted in good soil, your identity needs tending. The enemy would love for you to forget who you are, to let the "weeds" of busyness, discouragement, or distraction choke out your growth. Sometimes it's not the big disasters that trip us up—it's the little daily choices to abide with Jesus that make all the difference.

Pray With Us!

"Jesus, thank You for making me a new creation. Help me to see myself the way You see me—loved, forgiven, and full of purpose. Remind me every day to walk in that truth and stay close to You. Grow Your life in me, and make me more like You. Amen."

Let's Reflect:

What story do I most often believe about myself—and does it line up with what God says? What small daily habits can help me "tend the soil" of my heart and stay close to Jesus? How might my life look different if I truly lived like a fully loved, fully equipped child of God?
