Seek First - And It Will Be Added Unto You

Sometimes we get caught up worrying about life's needs — food, shelter, jobs, relationships. But this verse reminds us that if we prioritize our relationship with God, everything else will fall into place. It's an open invitation from the Creator to trust Him with all the things we feel pressured by daily.

Remember, God knows your needs before you even ask. He isn't just asking for a one-time "seek first" commitment. This is a daily, moment-by-moment journey. We're invited to trust that His kingdom — His rule and reign over our lives — will guide everything else. Seeking first His righteousness means relying on Jesus' righteousness, not our own efforts. The beauty of grace is that Jesus did for us what we couldn't do for ourselves. When we seek Him, we receive a divine exchange — our sin for His righteousness. We are clothed in His perfection.

We see this throughout the Bible. Think about Moses. God spoke to him "as one speaks to a friend" (Exodus 33:11). Isn't that amazing? Moses sought God's presence, knowing that everything else — provision, victory, guidance — would follow. That's what seeking God first looks like. It's not about earning His love but simply drawing near to Him.

The more we prioritize God, the more we experience His peace, purpose, and provision in every aspect of life. Let's start today by putting Him first in our time, our decisions, and our hearts.

Pray With Me!

Lord, help me to seek You first in every part of my life. Teach me to trust You fully with my needs and desires. Thank You for the gift of Your righteousness. Help me walk in Your grace, knowing that You care for every detail of my life. Amen.

Let's Reflect:

What are some areas in your life where you need to seek God first? How does relying on Jesus' righteousness change your perspective on grace? When has God provided for your needs when you prioritized your relationship with Him?
