Made For More - Citizen of Heaven

Today, we're exploring Philippians 3, where Paul reminds us that our true citizenship is in heaven. It's easy to get caught up in the things of this world—our jobs, relationships, and daily stresses—but Paul encourages us to shift our focus. He tells us to live as citizens of heaven, reflecting God's love and joy in everything we do. This doesn't mean we ignore the world around us, but that we keep our hearts anchored in God's eternal kingdom.

Being a citizen of heaven brings amazing freedom. It means we have access to His promises, His presence, and the joy of knowing that no matter what happens here, we are deeply loved and cared for by our heavenly Father. And as we live in this world, we are called to be ambassadors of His kingdom—representing His love, grace, and truth in all we do.

So, how do we live this out? Paul gives us some practical advice: 1. Rejoice in the Lord—Don't forget the joy that comes from knowing God! 2. Don't fall into legalism—It's not about rules but about relationship. 3. Pursue knowing Christ above all else—Let everything else be secondary to your pursuit of Jesus.

As we journey through life, let's remember that we're just passing through this world. Our true home is in heaven, and that should give us hope, strength, and purpose in everything we do.

Pray With Me!

Lord, thank you for making us citizens of heaven. Help us to live with joy, to pursue You above all else, and to reflect Your kingdom here on earth. Amen.

Let's Reflect:

What does it mean to live as a citizen of heaven in your daily life? How can focusing on eternity help you navigate the challenges you're currently facing? In what ways can you reflect God's love and joy to those around you this week?
