I Am the Door | Therefore I am

We're going to take a moment to talk about doors. Yup, you heard that right.

Doors are a part of our everyday lives, right? We walk through them, bump into them, or sometimes get stuck in revolving doors (shh... it's okay, we've all been there). But have you ever stopped to think about what doors actually mean?

Jesus tells us, "I am the door." (John 10:7) When He said this, He wasn't just talking about any ordinary door. This wasn't your run-of-the-mill wooden door, metal door, or sliding door. Jesus is the door that leads to everything we need—salvation, safety, opportunity, and life to the fullest!

Doors are all about access. They let you in, keep things out, protect you, or provide you with something new. And Jesus, the door, is the one way to access God's presence and everything He has for us.

Just like Noah's Ark had one door, and just like the temple had one entrance to the Holy of Holies, Jesus is that one door for us. If you want peace, purpose, or even salvation, Jesus is the door that opens to it all. You don't have to search for multiple ways in—He's the one door that gives you everything!

Jesus doesn't want us to wander around wondering which door to knock on. He is the door that guarantees access. He is the door that offers safety when life gets tough. And He is the door that leads to a life abundantly lived. It's like having VIP access to everything you need. And guess what? He's waiting for you to open that door to His love and grace.

Jesus, thank You for being the door to everything we need. Help us to always come to You, knowing that You provide protection, purpose, and abundant life. Help us to lean on You and trust that when we knock, You will open the door wide. Amen!
