31 Day Challenge - The Power of a Good Cheer
Hey Shoreline Family, This year, we have been kicking things off with the #31DayChallenge—pushing ourselves to grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and relationally. Today, I want to focus on applauding others enthusiastically.
Encouragement matters. Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us to "spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Think about it—when was the last time someone's words lifted you? Encouragement passes courage. It motivates and brings joy, not just to the receiver but to the giver as well.
Barnabas, often called "the Son of Encouragement," was known for building others up. When Paul faced rejection, Barnabas believed in him and stood by him—his encouragement literally changed history. Imagine the difference we can make when we cheer on our friends, family, and even strangers!
Let's make it real practical: Smile more. Cheer someone on with your words. Send a message or note just to encourage someone.
Pray With Us!
Lord, help us be people who speak life. Teach us to be encouragers in every season and use our words to bring hope and healing. Let us reflect Your heart as we build up those around us. Amen.
Let's Reflect:
Who in your life has been a "Barnabas" for you? How did their encouragement impact you? What stops us from encouraging others more often? How can you intentionally encourage someone this week?
