Hope For Healing | Acts 29
Have you ever experienced a moment where you just thought, "Wow… that's got to be a miracle"? Maybe it was something big, like a medical healing, or something small, like a tough situation turning out better than you expected. Either way, miracles remind us that God is alive, active, and still working in our world.
When Jesus walked the earth, healing was a big part of His ministry. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and even got Peter's mother-in-law back on her feet! And the amazing part? After His resurrection, His followers didn't stop. In the book of Acts, miracles continued, from lame men walking to handkerchiefs bringing healing to the sick. God's power didn't stop with the Bible stories—it's still at work today.
Miracles come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they happen instantly, sometimes over time. Sometimes they are supernatural, sometimes through doctors and medicine. And sometimes, we don't see them in the way we expect—but that doesn't mean God isn't working.
What really amazes God isn't our perfect faith—it's our faith at all. Remember the story of the centurion in Matthew? Jesus was amazed at his faith, even from a distance. It's not the size of your faith that matters, but the size of your God. So whether it's a physical healing, a mending of the heart, or hope in a hopeless situation, we can pray boldly, expectantly, and with all the love we have.
Pray With Me!
God, thank You that You are still a miracle-working God. Help us to trust You even when we don't see the whole picture. Give us faith to pray boldly, love to encourage others, and hope that Your power is greater than any challenge we face. Heal, restore, and show Your glory in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Let's Reflect:
Can you think of a time when God showed up in your life in a way that felt miraculous? How did it impact your faith? How does knowing that God's power works in big ways and small ways encourage you in your daily life? Is there someone in your life who needs prayer for healing—physical, emotional, or spiritual? How could you pray with faith for them today?
