He's Coming Again | Dear Church
Palm Sunday is a beautiful moment where we get to celebrate Jesus riding into Jerusalem with crowds shouting "Hosanna!" It was a powerful, pivotal moment… but it was only the beginning.
Just like His first coming was prophesied and fulfilled, Scripture promises He's coming again—and not on a donkey this time, but with power and glory!
As we continue our journey through 1 Thessalonians, chapter 5 reminds us that Jesus' return isn't just a "maybe someday" thing—it's a certainty. The Bible talks about it over and over again. It was predicted by prophets, promised by Jesus, and preached by the apostles. His return is not an "if," but a "when."
Paul tells us His coming will be unexpected—like a thief in the night. That doesn't mean scary; it just means we don't know when. So what do we do? We stay ready. We live with hope. We walk in the light. And we remind ourselves and each other that we belong to the day, not to the darkness.
That means we're not just waiting around—we're living on purpose. We're putting on faith and love like armor, and wearing our salvation like a helmet. We're encouraging one another, praying, rejoicing, and sharing the good news that God loves the lost and longs for them to come home.
Pray With Us!
Jesus, thank You for coming once—and thank You that You're coming again. Help me live every day with that hope in my heart. Keep me awake, aware, and full of faith. Use me to share Your love with those around me. And as I look toward the day You return, fill me with joy, courage, and passion. Amen.
Let's Reflect:
What excites you most about Jesus' return—and what challenges you about it? How can you live with a "ready" heart in your daily life? Who is someone you can invite to experience the hope of Jesus this Easter?
