Grace for Our Life | Grace to & Through

It's possible to know all the right things about God and still feel distant from Him. You can understand grace, explain it, even believe it… and yet still carry shame, still strive for approval, still feel like something is missing. That gap between knowing and experiencing is where many of us live.

And it's exactly what Paul addresses.

Before he tells us how to live, he pauses and prays. Why? Because transformation doesn't come from information alone—it comes from encounter.

Like learning a word but never feeling its meaning, many of us have learned the language of grace without fully experiencing it. But God's desire is not just that you understand His love, it's that you know it personally, deeply, and unmistakably.

This kind of knowing goes beyond logic. It's relational. It's being rooted and established in love, so grounded in who God is that it begins to shape everything about how you live.

But we often get stuck trying to close the gap in the wrong ways. Some of us lean on what we know—thinking if we just understand more, we'll experience more. Others chase what we feel—looking for emotional highs to validate our faith. But God isn't contained in either box.

He invites us into both. To think and to kneel. To learn and to surrender. To be grounded in truth and open to wonder.

Because God is bigger than what we can fully comprehend and more personal than we often realize.

And here's the beauty: we don't experience this alone. God reveals His grace to us, but He reveals the fullness of it through us. Through community, through shared stories, through the different ways His love shows up in each life.

So today, don't settle for just knowing about God.

Lean in. Let Him meet you. Let His love move from something you understand… to something you experience.

Let's Reflect:

Where do you feel the gap most in your life right now—between knowing about God and actually experiencing Him? Do you tend to lean more on "what you know" or "what you feel" in your relationship with God? How has that shaped your faith? What might it look like for you this week to both pursue truth (learning) and practice surrender (relationship with God)?

Pray With Me!

Father, thank You that You don't just want me to know about You... you want me to truly know You. Help me move beyond information into real relationship. Break down the boxes I've placed around You, and give me a deeper awareness of Your love. Strengthen me by Your Spirit so I can experience Your grace in a real and personal way. Teach me to trust You, to lean in, and to live from that place of connection with You. Amen.
