Grace for forgiveness

If we're honest, we all know what it feels like to miss the mark. Sometimes it's obvious—words we wish we could take back, choices we regret. Other times, it's quieter opportunities to love, serve, or speak up that we let pass by.

However it shows up, the reality is the same: none of us are perfect, and all of us need forgiveness.

That's why it's so important that we know our forgiveness isn't based on what we do, but on what Jesus has already done. The "In Him" changes everything.

Instead of striving, bargaining, or trying to clean ourselves up, we're invited to shift our focus to Jesus. While our instinct is to hide, blame, or minimize our sin, grace calls us to trust what has already been finished on our behalf.

And not someday… but right now.

We have redemption. We have forgiveness. Not just for our past, but for our present. God's grace is a waterfall. Constant, overwhelming, and unending. You don't earn your way into it; you simply step into it.

Through Jesus' sacrifice, the price has already been paid. Your sin isn't being held over your head. It's been removed, canceled, and completely dealt with. This is the gospel: not good advice, but good news.

So today, you don't have to carry shame or wonder where you stand with God. If you are in Him, you are forgiven fully, freely, and forever.

Let's Reflect:

When you think about your own "missing the mark," do you tend to hide, minimize, blame, or bargain? Which one do you relate to most? What does it look like for you to shift your focus from your performance to what Jesus has already done for you? Do you truly believe you are forgiven right now—not just in the past, but in the present? Why or why not?

Pray With Me!

Jesus, thank You for the gift of grace that I could never earn. Thank You that through You, my sins are forgiven and my debt is paid in full. Help me to stop striving and start trusting—to live under the waterfall of Your grace instead of carrying shame. Teach me to believe what You say is true about me, and to walk in the freedom You've already given. Amen.
