Jesus - The Name Above Every Other Name

Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9,10).

When I find myself in a place where I feel like I'm between a rock and hard spot, I'm feeling stuck. I know that I can't settle in there. I must get on top of this. I need hope, I need a word from God, I need to worship. I need my friends to pray for me. But I also need to take my authority as a believer.

How do I take authority? I remember who is in charge. Who is in control. Who can do anything. Who has given me authority as a follower of Christ. Whose name is above every name. Every name! When I'm feeling sick - Jesus' name! When I'm stressed - Jesus! When I'm sad - Jesus! Whatever seems to consume me - it's Jesus name that reminds me, He is in control, He is faithful, He loves me, He has power over everything!

If you are struggling or feel between a rock and a hard spot, it's the name of Jesus that will change everything. We have to believe it, say it, pray it!!!

Prayer

Father God, thank you for your love, your son Jesus! Thank you for your word that says, "Jesus' name is above every name!" Thank you that you have given us authority for the things in our life that don't line up with your desire for us. We thank you that we don't have to do anything on our own. We have Jesus, we have our church family, we have your Holy Spirit. We love you dearly and choose to walk in the authority you have given us. In the Name above every name! The name of Jesus
