Time | Less is More
We all wish we had more time. We race the GPS, multitask like pros, and somehow still end the day wondering where it all went. Time feels like something we're constantly chasing… and rarely catching.
The Bible shows us that there are actually two ways to experience time. One is the nonstop, ticking-clock kind—always moving, always demanding. The other is slower, deeper, and full of purpose. It's the kind of time where God shows up in ordinary moments and makes them holy. Jesus invites us into that second kind of time.
He doesn't ask us to cram more into our schedules. He asks us to step away, pause, and be with Him. When we give up a little time for prayer, rest, worship, and community, something surprising happens: we don't lose time... we gain life.
Think about a timeout in a game. Everything stops. Breath returns. Perspective resets. Plays get drawn up. That's what God wants for us. Timeouts help break the momentum of stress, restore our strength, and reconnect us to the Coach who sees the whole field. Less rushing. Less noise. Less filling every minute.
More presence. More peace. More moments that actually matter.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do… is stop.
Pray With Me!
God, thank You for the gift of time. Help us slow down enough to notice You at work in our everyday moments. Teach us when to pause, when to rest, and how to live in Your unforced rhythms of grace. Help us trade busy minutes for meaningful moments. Amen.
Let's Reflect:
Where do you feel the most rushed or overwhelmed with time right now? What would it look like for you to give God a small "timeout" each day or week? How could slowing down help you be more present with God or the people you love?
