See His Glory | Manger & Majesty
As we wrap up one year and step into a new one, it's a good time to slow down and really look at what God has been doing. John says, "We beheld His glory."
That word beheld doesn't mean a quick look while scrolling. It means to stop, stare, and soak it in. Like watching a sunset instead of snapping a picture and moving on. Sometimes God's glory is like a glow stick before it's cracked. It doesn't look like much at first... just ordinary, quiet, kind of unimpressive. But everything needed for light is already there. In a lot of ways, that's how life feels in the in-between seasons. You're praying, waiting, hoping, but nothing seems to be glowing yet.
The Bible is full of people who lived in that middle space. Daniel sat in the dark with lions before he knew their mouths were shut. Joseph sat forgotten in prison before the palace. The disciples walked toward Emmaus with Jesus Himself beside them and didn't even recognize Him. The glory wasn't absent...it was hidden.
That means as you walk into a new year, you're not starting empty. You carry light. You carry hope. You carry glory. And as you keep beholding Him—really seeing Him—you're being changed from glory to glory. God may not remove every challenge ahead, but He promises to show up in the middle of them, lighting the way as you go.
Let's Reflect:
Looking back, where might God's presence have been at work in your life this past year, even if you didn't notice it at the time? What does it mean to you personally that God's presence now lives in you, not behind a veil or in a building? As you step into the new year, where do you need to trust that God has already placed what you need inside you?
Pray With Me!
God, open our eyes to see Your glory. Help us recognize where You've been with us, even in the in-between moments. Thank You for tearing down every barrier and choosing to dwell within us. As we move forward, help us walk confidently, carrying Your light into every part of our lives. Amen.
