“The family is the basic building block of society. It is the relational foundation upon which everything else is built. So goes the family – so goes the community, the church, and the nation. But building strong families is not easy. Even the definition of family is complex. Husbands, wives, singles, divorced, kids, and blended families all form a family. What makes family life so difficult? I think it has a lot to do with the dynamic of imperfect people living so closely together. We make bad choices. We are selfish. We don’t know how to resolve conflict well. We don't understand what it takes to be good parents. Sometimes our kids feel smothered, or neglected, or they just don’t know what’s required of them. Laura and I are so excited to be sharing God’s wisdom on marriage and family. There is timeless truth that can guide each family through the darkness of misplaced values and relational dysfunction.
