Know God.
Find Life.
Make A Difference.

Shoreline exists to know God, find life and make a difference. Since 1987 Pastors Rob and Laura Koke have been leading a love revolution in Austin, TX. We believe in the power of life giving community, the truth of Gods word and that Christianity is all about Grace. Our diverse, interdenominational church is home to thousands of people from all walks of life.

The Shoreline Way: Our Values

Shoreline is intentional about building a culture that fully embraces our unique mission to the world. The Shoreline Way is how we aspire do life and ministry.

We celebrate the gospel of God’s amazing grace

The beauty of God’s grace is at the heartbeat of everything we do. It is celebrated in every song. It is at the core of every sermon. It is the filter through which everything we do gets expressed. What Jesus did through his life, death, and resurrection empowers everything.

We love people

All people! Race, Background, Age, Stage, Income, Education, Shape, Size, Single, Married, Churched, Unchurched – No matter what, everyone is welcome here!

We value authenticity

Nobody is perfect. We are all a work in progress.

We are planted in Church

We believe that God uses his church to make an irreplaceable impact in the spiritual growth of every believer. We joyfully and generously honor God with our time, talent and treasure.

We dream big and live significantly

We believe that God wants to do something miraculous and world changing through us. Everyone is designed with unique talents, abilities, and resources. We want to discover and grow in how God has gifted us to bring heaven to earth in all we do as a church and to the world around us.

We embrace community

We are convinced that life is better together. We grow better. We celebrate victories better. We get through challenges better. We do life better.

We express gratitude

Everything good in our lives originates with God. We believe that true Christian maturity is revealed in a heart that’s overflowing with thanksgiving for all things big and small.

We love to laugh

Joy is contagious and clear evidence that God is on the inside.

We give honor

Everyone is made in the image of God and their worth is beyond measure. We express honor with dignity and respect to those we lead, to those we serve beside, and to those we follow.

We protect Unity

We jealously guard this environment of faith with encouragement, love, forgiveness and grace and refuse to participate in the poison of envy, gossip, complaining, or discord.

We never lose hope

Life is filled with difficulties and challenges, but God’s final word is always good. If it’s not good yet, it’s not final. We trust that God is able to work all things out for the good even when our hearts are breaking and we don’t understand. We are learning to walk by faith.

We give our best

We seek to glorify God by becoming our best and giving our best. We aspire to maximize our potential and grow in leadership, freedom, creativity, commitment, and excellence. Anything we do for God and people is worthy of passion and our very best efforts.

Statement of faith

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit is equal to the Father and Son. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power and gifts for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

We are all made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by a condition of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This condition separates us from God.

The Bible is God’s Word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternity is a place of eternal union and eternal life with God.
