Update

Dear friends and students of Shoreline Leadership College,

First off, thank you so much for your interest, prayer, and participation in Shoreline Leadership College. So far we gathered leaders from all the serving teams of Shoreline Church and even a few other churches to sharpen each other and become better leaders. We have truly experienced God’s love and become more dependent on God’s grace as our source of life.

Secondly, in order to align as closely as possible with our church communities leadership development model, we need to take some time to plan, to dream and to make sure that we are equipping people for ministry as efficiently and effectively as possible. We are merely taking a break for this semester to reevaluate our leadership development model.

Thank you in advance for your patience in this process and for the initiative you have shown in your own leadership development. Our prayer is that you are a life long learner. Until we resume classes again, we have prepared a suggested reading list for you to resource yourself. This list contains everything from casual reads to full-blown models of discipleship to help you grow as a leader. We hope that you will continue growing, learning, and leading with excellence!

In grace,
Mike Collins
Youth Pastor, Shoreline Church

Suggested Resource List:

Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswalk Sanders
Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard
Spiritual Direction by Henri J.M. Nouwen
Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
Spiritual Leadership by Henry and Richard Blackaby
How To Read the Bible For All It’s Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart
