Jesus came to set the captives free! He wants us to live a free life! And he uses a variety of means to bring about our freedom.

Prayer – God uses prayer to set us free. Prayer changes things. It invites the supernatural power of God to move in our situation. God hears and responds when his people pray.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

Forgiveness – Our choice to forgive can feel like letting the other person off the hook, letting them go free. But forgiveness actually sets us free! Forgiveness is letting go. It loosens our grip on the pain of our past and allows the chains of bitterness to slide off our shoulders.

Friends – Relationships are vital and it is easier to move forward in life when you have a group of friends to encourage you along the way, to extend a hand when you need a pick-me-up or to lean on when you feel like you can’t take another step.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Celebrate Recovery – We all have hurts, habits and hang-ups. Those things can keep us bound. Celebrate Recovery is an amazing program offered every Thursday night at Shoreline. Please come check it out. Every week, people are finding freedom and moving forward in community.

Worship – Nothing is more freeing than sitting in the presence of God and allowing his love and life to wash over you! Freedom comes when we worship God with reckless abandon.

Shine – Every year we hear amazing stories of how God has used Shine Women’s Conference to set his daughters free. This year’s conference was all about freedom and we want to hear your freedom story!  Please email your Shine story to shine@shoreline.net

Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. Galatians 5:1 The Message

If you need freedom today, pray this prayer: Father, please use anything and everything that you know will bring freedom in my life. Take every area of bondage and set me free!
