Music Director We have an exciting opportunity for a gifted leader - with a heart after God and for His people - to use his/her gift as Music Director for Shoreline Christian Center. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to contributing to Shoreline’s vision – Unveiling God’s Love - as we minister to God’s children. This includes a well developed discerning insight and ability to recognize and cultivate new leaders. In addition, to playing keyboard for all regular and special event worship services, our new Music Director should have experience conducting and managing all music & musical elements for weekly rehearsals and services.
What Will You Need: (Required for consideration)
Demonstrated strong organization and planning skills to: - Provide musical/musician technical leadership;
- Maintain instrument and equipment inventory, maintenance schedule & ;
- Identify and schedule music for services and special projects;
- Establish and circulate musician roster; to include securing substitutes, as needed.
Proven leadership abilities to: - Lead and oversee rehearsal sessions;
- Cultivate the leadership skills of existing team members;
- Recruit new and facilitate the retention of volunteers;
- Audition new talent into the Music ministry, while coaching and growing the abilities of existing talent; and
- Interact and contribute to the team centric collaborative goals of the Creative Arts, Visual Effects, Sound, Production and Dance teams during seasonal and series based special events.
Proven proficiency on keyboards and piano to: - Play at services, special sessions and seasonal events;
- Design and facilitate the execution of smooth musical transitions during events & services to ensure an unhindered worship atmosphere; and
- Chart music and/or play by ear to instruct/teach others.
What Special Gifts Do You Bring: (Preferred candidates have)
- Previous experience leading musicians in a worship and/or volunteer environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent work experience (2 – 5 years)
- Vocally gifted with ability to chart vocal parts
- Knowledge and ability to secure proper CCLI copyright clearance for music presentation

Lift Youth and Young Adults Administrative Assistant
Rolls and Responsibilities
Service/Lobby Director • Lobby Flow – eyes and ears of lobby flow, special elements, and support to Program Director
• Keeping track of volunteers within a service, sure they feel empowered, have a place to serve within a service and that they are ready to serve
• Special Elements within the service, both weekly and occasional elements, such as but not limited to: communion, food, testimonies, etc…
• Providing services with the necessary documents for special events and other: Flyers, sign ups, check in, spread sheets, etc…
• Fine tuning and delegation of details for special events that include a change in lobby flow, such as but not limited to: Invite nights, parties, special sign ups, etc…
• Keeping track of service boxes so that volunteers have what they need to own each service: guest cards, salvation cards, announcement cards, sermon CD’s, batteries, service orders, etc…
• Responsible for Lift Wednesday and J-hi 1st and 2nd service orders, communicating with Pastor Ben and Pastor Mike regarding service details, making sure service orders match the vision for a particular series/theme, communicating with other staff members on specifics
• Overseeing and empowerment of Lobby Coordinators for each Lift Service; providing them with the details they need, as well as training them to train others.
Lift Finance Assistant
• Submitting all financial requests to finance department for approval.
• Communicating with Lift Staff regarding requests, keeping everyone in tune of our financial expenditures on a week to week basis.
• Turning in all receipts
• Tracking any missing receipts
• Filling out missing receipt forms
• Filling out reimbursement forms for Lift staff
• Communication for Lift with finance team on all smaller day to day expenses
• Making all Lift deposits that are non Big Events. Such as offering, special offerings, deposits for café, deposits for smaller events i.e. selling hot dogs on a Wednesday evening.
Administrative Support to Lift Staff
• Reserving rooms within the church for Lift events, meetings, small groups, and parties
• Go to person for other departments who wish to use Lift Lodge, SEC lobby furniture, and SEC café/pantry. Communicating with that department what the requirements are in order to reserve these areas and making sure they leave each area in great condition after use.
• Assisting with various non-service events: i.e. Single Mom’s Lunch, Youth Leaders Workshop, Outreach Events, events are not limited to smaller and do often include bigger events, tasks for events vary upon need
• Overseeing Shoreline Leadership College Admin hours during the work week: preparing work for them, communicating with Lift Staff what they will be doing, working with others on delegations.
• Making contacts in our database for our volunteer pipeline coordinator: volunteer assignments, interview notes, etc…
• Making notes in our data base regarding correspondence with youth and church members: interview notes, pastoral care notes, confidential notes
• Making sure all visitors and salvations are called or emailed week of for all Lift services south and north, making sure they are entered into our data base for future follow up.
• Filtering reports for various job needs
• Making sure distribution list for service volunteers is up to date.
• Recruiting capable volunteers to help with administrative duties within the office that can be executed remotely
Creative Administration
• Helping prepare for weekly Lift Creative Meeting, what do we need to discuss, what needs to be finalized for services, outreach, and/or events
• Making sure creative team knows logistically how ideas may pan out with in services, outreach, and/or event
• Taking notes during creative, typing them up and sending to necessary individuals
• Delegating all tasks per creative meeting and making sure staff members are completing them on due dates
• Communicating with staff/volunteers regarding creative details for services, events, and day to day office business
• Turning in Art/Marketing/TV requests for services, outreach, and events that come out of creative meeting
• Coming up with creative ways to tweak and streamline systems with in the office, in services, and with students.
